C THE <br />CITY (iF COLTON <br />The BoardofAdministration, Public Employees' Retirement System, hereinafter <br />referred to as Board and the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF COLTON, hereinafter re- <br />ferred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contract under date of May 2$, <br />1945, effective duly 1, 1945, as amended effective February 1, 1948, July 1, 1954 <br />'January 1, 1960, September 1, 1962, and February 2, 19739 which provides for <br />participation of Public Agency in said System, Board and Public Agency hereby <br />agree as follows <br />A. Paragraphs 1 through 8 are hereby stricken from said contract as executed <br />effective February 2, 1973, and are hereby replaced by the following para- <br />graphs numbered 1 through 8 inclusive; <br />1. All words and terms used herein which are defined in the Public <br />Employees' Retirement Law shall have the meaning as defined therein <br />unless otherwise specifically provided. "Normal retirement ageu c <br />shall mean age 60 for miscellaneous members and age 50 for local u <br />safety members. <br />2. Public Agency shall participate in the Public'Employees' Retirement <br />. System. from and. after July 1, '1945, making its e-mployees as herein- <br />after provided, members of said system subject to all provisions of <br />the Public Employees' Retirement Law except such as apply only on <br />election of a contracting agency and are not provided for herein and <br />to all amendments to said Taw hereafter enacted except such as by <br />express provision therof apply only on the election of contracting <br />agencies. <br />3. Employees of Public Agency in the following classes shall become <br />miembers of said Retirement System except such in each such class <br />as are excluded by law or this agreement: <br />a,, Local firemen (herein referred to as local safety members);, <br />b. Local policemen (herein referred to as local safety members); <br />c. Empl'oy'ees other than local safety members (herein referred to <br />as miscellaneous members). <br />In addition to the employees excluded from membership by said Re- <br />tirement law, the following employees shall not become members of <br />the retirement System: <br />EXCLUDE EMPLOYEES COMPENSATED ON AN <br />HOURLY BASIS HIRED SEPTEMBER 19 1962 <br />OR AFTER. <br />Ret.
