1 <br />11 ORDINANCE NO. 1.549 <br />2AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, ADDING CHAPTER 9.30 TO <br />3 TITLE 9 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br />CONCERNING ALARM SYSTEMS AND TECHNICAL <br />4 AND BUSINESS REGULATIONS RELATED THERE- <br />5TO, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1530. <br />� <br />6� THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Colton <br />Chapter 9.30, which is to read as follows: <br />9i <br />10 CHAPTER 9.30 ALARM SYSTEMS <br />11 - <br />Section 9.30.010. Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, <br />certain words and phrases used herein are defined as follows: <br />12; <br />13 1. "Alarm System" shall mean any device designed for the detec- <br />�tion of an unauthorized entry on premises or for altering others of the commis - <br />3.4' <br />Ision of an unlawful act, or both, and, when actuated emits a sound or transmits <br />15 <br />(a signal or message. <br />1& e <br />E <br />17 2. "Alarm Business" shall mean any person engaged in selling, <br />lS <br />'leasing, maintaining, servicing, repairing, altering, replacing, moving, in <br />Ping,-or monitoring any alarm system or causing to be sold, maintained, serviced, <br />20 !repaired, altered, replaced, moved, installed or monitored an alarm system in or. <br />ion any building, place or premises. <br />21 I <br />22 3. "Alarm Agent" shall mean any person who is employed by an <br />23 1 <br />alarm business, either directly or indirectly, whose duties include any of the <br />!following: selling, replacing, moving, installing or monitoring on any building, <br />24� <br />;place or premises any alarm system. <br />25 <br />26 i 4. "Audible Alarm" shall mean a device designed for the deter <br />27 tion of an unauthorized entry on premises and which when actuated generated a <br />28 !sound audible at and outside the premises. <br />
