n_ <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4I <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1585 <br />AN INTERIM URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />ESTABLISHING A MORITORIUM PROHIBITING NEW INDUSTRIAL <br />USES IN AN AREA OF THE CITY PENDING STUDY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Resolution No. 4002 to initiate <br />amendments to the General Plan and zoning ordinance, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is necessary to protect the <br />public safety, health and.welfare for this ordinance to be adopted as an <br />]urgency measure. <br />The City Council of the City of Colton ordains: <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 65858 any uses which may be in <br />conflict with the contemplated zoning proposal of Resolution No. 4002 are <br />prohibited and new industrial uses and expansion of existing industrial uses in <br />the area described therein are probhited. The said prohibition shall continue <br />until the study of said area is completed. <br />Said area is that portion of the City of Colton South of the San <br />i <br />Bernardino freeway, east of Rancho Avenue, and north of the Santa Ana River. <br />Unless extended as provided by law, this ordinance shall be of no <br />further force or effect four (4) months from its date of adoption. <br />This ordinance shall be effective immediately. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of June, 1980. <br />1ATTEST; <br />I City Clerk <br />4 _ <br />
