Installations <br />of said systems shall have prior approval of <br />the Chief of the Fire Department. No existing <br />building or dwelling unit within it shall be <br />sold or rented, and no remodeling, additions <br />or repairs of a value of $1,000.00 or more shall <br />be made thereto, unless and until the residence <br />meets the requirements of Section 10.3.07 (e). <br />Compliance will begin for all homes sold, rented <br />or remodeled after.Adoption of this Ordinance. <br />The date of sale is interpreted to mean the <br />date when the contract to purchase is negotiated <br />and signed. When a detector sensitive to <br />products of combustion other than heat, or a <br />system of heat detectors and a detector sensitive <br />to products of combustion other than heat are <br />installed, the Fire Department shall be notified <br />and an inspection will be made to insure com- <br />pliance. A permit will then be issued which will <br />be forwarded to the Title Company so the escrow <br />will be in order." <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of November, <br />1980. <br />ATTEST.
