2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />entered into with each Towing Carrier or for a violation of the terms of this chapter or the Rules <br />and Specifications as promulgated by the Police Chief. <br />10.40.110 Authority for city to maintain own towing operations and towing <br />yard.Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to restrict or prohibit the City from conducting its <br />own towing operations or maintaining its own towing storage yard, either in lieu of, or in addition <br />to any Towing Carrier permit that is awarded pursuant to this Chapter or the Rules and <br />Specifications. <br />10.40.120 Penalties. <br />Any Towing Carrier, driver or towing company violating the provisions of this <br />chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. In addition, any Towing Carrier or towing company <br />violating the provisions of the Rules and Specifications shall be subject to the permit revocation <br />provisions of contained herein and in the Rules and Specifications." <br />SECTION 2: Severability. If any provision or clause of this ordinance or any <br />application of it to any person, firm, organization, partnership or corporation is held invalid, such <br />invalidity shall not affect other provisions of this ordinance which can be given effect without the <br />invalid provision or application. To this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be <br />severable. <br />SECTION 3: Publishing. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this <br />Ordinance and cause the same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days <br />after adoption in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California, <br />and the Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its enactment in accordance with the <br />provisions of California law. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1St day of June, 2004. <br />ATTEST: <br />Z,15AROLINA P.
