DAP -000-501) <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Police Department filed an application (File No. DAP - <br />000 -501) requesting a zone change to change the zoning designation from R-2 ("Duplex <br />Residential") to M-1 ("Light Industrial") ("Application") for property located on the west side <br />of Fogg Street, south of East M Street and north of Congress Street (Assessor Parcel No. <br />0163-232-024) in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino ("Subject Site"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton Planning Commission ("Planning <br />Commission") held a public hearing on the Application on October 11, 2005, after giving <br />published notice of the Application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the proposed <br />Application is consistent with the goals and policies of the City of Colton General Plan, is in <br />the best interests of the City's general welfare and the public health and safety, and it would <br />be in the public interest to recommend approval of the Application to the Colton City <br />Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Application was reviewed, studied, and found to comply with <br />the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") as more fully described below; <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted a Resolution recommending <br />approval of this Application to the City of Colton City Council; <br />WHEREAS, on November 15, 2005, the City Council of the City of Colton <br />("City Council") conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the Application at which time all <br />persons wishing to testify in connection with the Application were heard and the Application <br />was fully studied; and <br />ORANGENW 19705.1 <br />-1- <br />
