1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />"3.38.020 Late charges on delinquent accounts receivable" <br />(a) Any fee, billing for damage to city property, service <br />charge, utility charge, license, permit, or tax of any <br />nature whatsoever imposed by the city that is not paid <br />within thirty days after the same becomes due and <br />payable to the city shall be deemed a delinquent <br />account receivable. <br />(b) Except as provided in subsection (c) below, any <br />delinquent account receivable shall be subject to <br />a late charge in the amount of ten percent <br />(10%) of the delinquent amount, which shall be <br />collected in the manner provided in Section <br />3.38.010 of this code. The late charge imposed <br />pursuant to this Subsection (b) will continue to <br />be charged every thirty (30) days on delinquent <br />amounts that remain unpaid. <br />(c) Any delinquent account receivable arising from <br />an unpaid utility charge shall be subject to a late <br />charge in the amount of five percent (5%) of the <br />delinquent amount currently due and payable to <br />the City, which shall be collected in the manner <br />provided in Section 3.38.010 of this code. <br />Notwithstanding the foregoing, accounts for <br />utility charges with a balance of twenty dollars <br />($20.00) or less shall not be subject to the late <br />charge imposed by this subsection (c). <br />2 <br />
