1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />(ii) sign a release allowing the City to immediately dispose of or <br />donate any seized perishable goods. <br />(d) Prior to releasing, disposing or donating any perishable goods seized <br />pursuant to section 12.44.040, the City shall inspect, and take photographs and any necessary <br />samples of such goods to maintain as evidence. <br />(e) Any perishable goods not retrieved, as provided in this chapter, within <br />twenty-four (24) hours shall be immediately donated or discarded by the City, with no liability to <br />the City for such action. <br />(f) Nothing contained in this Section 12.44 shall limit the ability of the City to <br />cite the owner of the seized perishable goods for violation of this Code. <br />(g) The Police Chief may adopt reasonable rules and regulations, not <br />inconsistent with this Chapter, in order to implement this Section. <br />Section 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after <br />the date of its adoption. <br />Section 3: Publishing. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this <br />ordinance and <br />cause the same or a summary thereof to be published within fifteen (15) days <br />after adoption in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Colton, California. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7`" day of March, 2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />L,40 <br />CAROLINA P.
