Temporary fireworks stands shall be constructed entirely out of metal or <br />synthetic materials of demonstrated low flammability and shall have metal flooring attached. <br />Temporary fireworks stands need not comply with the provisions of the City building code; <br />provided, however, that all stands shall be erected under the supervision of the building official <br />and shall be constructed in a manner that will reasonably ensure the safety of attendants and <br />patrons. <br />B. No fireworks stand shall be located within twenty-five feet of any other <br />building or within one hundred feet of any fuel dispensing operations. <br />C. No stand shall have a floor area in excess of four hundred square feet. <br />D. Each stand in excess of twenty four feet in length must have at least two <br />exits; and each stand in excess of forty feet in length must have at least three exits spaced <br />approximately equidistantly apart; provided, however, that in no case shall the distance between <br />exits exceed twenty-four feet. <br />E. Each stand shall be provided with a minimum of two, two and one-half <br />gallon pressurized water type portable fire extinguishers or two ABC dry chemical type portable <br />fire extinguishers with a minimum rating of 2A1 OBC." <br />SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision or clause of this Ordinance or any <br />application of it to any person, firm, organization, partnership or corporation is held invalid, such <br />invalidity shall not affect other provisions of this Ordinance which can be given effect without the <br />invalid provision or application. To this end, the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be <br />severable. <br />SECTION 5. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) <br />days after its adoption. <br />SECTION 6. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance and cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in a newspaper of general <br />circulation printed and published within the City of Colton. <br />ATTEST: <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED <br />�• <br />CAROLINA P.
