RESOLUTION H0. 124 y WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of California provide that municipal corporations, counties, school districts and public agencies may contract with the Board of Administration ,of the California State Employees' Retirement System for Employees' Retirement, and WMMEAS, the City Council of the City of Colton approved the proposition of the City of Colton entering into a contract with said State Retirement Board providing for the Colton City Employees to become members of the State Retirement System, and WHEREAS, the State Retirement Act requires that an election shall be herd among Colton City Firemen, Colton City Policemen and City Smployees other than City Firemen and City Poo cemen# for the purpose of approving or rejecting the proposition of becoming members of the said State Notirement System. WHEREAS, the City of Colton adopted Resolution Ho. 1223 on the 16th dap of April, 1945, calling and declaring an election to be held on the 34th day of April, 1945, for the purpose of the Colton City Firemen, Colton City Policemen, and City Employees other than City Firemen and City Policemen, voting on the proposition of becoming members of the State Retirement System, and, WHEREAS, said election was duly and regularly held on the 30th day of April, 1945, and, WHEREAS, the returns of said election have been duly canvassed by this Council. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Colton that said council finds and deelares the results of the voice of U'S Colton City Firemen, Colton City Policemen and City Employees other than City Fitem,en and City Policemen, wast for and against the proposition of Colton City Employees becoming members of the State Employees' Retirement System, to be as follows3 COLTON CITY FIREMEN Total number of votes cast in favor of joining said Retirement System,_,,,_ Total number of votes east against joining said Retirement System N Majority of votes in favor of joining said Retirement Systers,,_,,�._,._,.._......_,_.:�i.,...
