14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />a <br />RrsoLuTzox Na. 1224 <br />WMBAS, due to the present war emergency situations it <br />become very difficult for the City of Colton to obtain sufficient <br />help in carder to operate its municipal plunge and to eliminate <br />the seasonal fire hazards caused by dry weeds being permitted to <br />(grow throughout the said city end, <br />RgAB, certain employees and officials of the City of Colton <br />have expressed their desire and a willingness to help and work <br />on the of oreeaid projects for a reasonable rate Of pay which will <br />be over and above their regular monthly salary as employees and <br />Officials of the said city and, <br />WHEREAS$ the City Council of the City of Colton is not in <br />Ifavor of granting overtime pay to any employees or officials of <br />1. said city at_ any time other than during a time of emergency or <br />during exceptional aircumstanaes and,, <br />WHEREAS# the City Council of the City of Colton, due to the <br />aforementioned facts, believes that due to the present situation, <br />it would be for the best interests of the City of Colton to <br />authorise its various employees and officials to help on the <br />aforesaid projects . <br />NOW THERE. PORE, It is hereby resolved thatt t <br />1. any employee or official of the City of Colton wba shall <br />desire to work under the supervision of thefire chief and who has <br />the approval and the consent of the said fire chief of the City of <br />Colton to so work shall and is hereby authorized to be employed <br />during his or her off hours in helping to eliminate, destroy or <br />remove weeds growing throughout the City of CtYlton or to eliminate <br />any and ether fire hazards thereino and during said period of work <br />any and all said persons shall be paid the sm of eighty five cents, <br />(#085)* per hour for each and every hour so eImployed t <br />2. That any of the afOrementiOned employees or officials <br />who shall express a willingness and desire to be employed in the <br />operation of the Colton Municipal Plunge during its regular season <br />
