r
WILLIAM F. MELLIN
A R C H I T E C T
671 D STREET. SAN SERNARDINO. CALIFORNIA
TELEPHONE 7251
August 14, 1916
Colton City Council
_c/o Paul J. Young, Park Commissioner
G oltan, '01 a1i=f orn a r ,
Gentlemen:
I have examined the contract between the City Council and
Carl Broome, and I find he has completed his part of the contract
with a few minor exceptions which he has promised to take care of
at once.
His final payment will be due thirty-five days after comple-
tion of the job. The job; will not be complete until - the building
is occupied.
To terminate the contract, I suggest the contractor submit
his pay roll and cancelled checks with an affidavit that he has
paid for all labor performed on his contract.
I made the same suggestion to the contractor and he was agree-
able.
I believe this would protect the job from having any leans
filed against it; however, it might be wise to consult the city
attorney also.
Very truly yours,
WILLIAM F. L=IN
