1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />I <br />11 <br />12 <br />13' <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18I <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />I <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />i <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3564 <br />WHEREAS, the Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Supervisors of <br />San Bernardino County for December 15, 1975, state that the Justice Court <br />Reorganization Committee proposes as follows: <br />"Colton Justice Court retained as a Justice <br />Court and after it reaches 40,000 population <br />the District could be consolidated with <br />Central Division and the Court in Colton <br />closed or continued in operation as a branch" <br />WHEREAS, -said Board of Supervisors has scheduled a hearing for <br />January 13, 1976, to discuss said Committee proposal, and <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Court is in fact the busiest Justice Court in <br />San Bernardino County and (except for the Court serving Yosemite Park) the <br />second busiest" in all of Cali.fo;rnia, and <br />WHEREAS, the work of the Colton Court is so heavy that assistance. <br />of outside additional Judges has long been necessary, and. <br />WHEREAS, at present the District Attorney of San Bernardino is <br />filing various Colton cases in another Court, at least in part, because <br />of the congestion in the Colton Court, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Colton City Council is <br />opposed to the proposal that the Court in Colton be closed. The Colton <br />City Council is of the opinion that public convenience is best served by <br />retaining a Court in the City of Colton. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be delivered <br />to the Board of Supervisors of San Bernardino County. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of January; 1976. <br />ALBERT A.
