o 1. 3, That the City Council does hereby find, determine and declare �2 that said weeds situated along and upon said property and streets and also 3 said rubbish, refuse,I-,dirt, dry grass, stubble, brush, litter or other in - 4 flammable material that exists upon parkways, sidewalks, or private, property 5 within the City -of Colton are and the same are hereby declared to be a public 6 nuisance and' that the same shall be abated by the removal of :said weeds, rubbish, refuse, dirt or -other materials by the owners of said property or 8 other persons on their behalf, or that otherwise said weeds, rubbish, dirt 9 or other material shall be removed and said nuisance abated by the City of 10 Colton in which case the cost of said removal.shall be assessed upon the 11 land lots•on which, or in front of which such weeds, rubbish, refuse and 12 ` dirt are removed and such cost shall constitute a lien upon such lots and 13 lands until paid under proceedings to be taken in accordance with the 14 Municipal Weed Abatement Act of the State of California. 15 4. That a hearing shall be held before the City Council in the 16 Council Chambers in the, City Hali in Colton, California, on the 20thday of 17 April ,1976 , at the hour of 7:30 p.m. o'clock of said day, at which time 18 all property owners having objections to the proposed removal of said weeds, rubbish, refuse, dirt and other material in accordance with the proceedings 20 set forth in the aforementioned Act may be heard and their objections and 21 protests considered by said City Council. 22 5. That pursuant to the provisions of Section 39567.1 this City 23 Council does hereby authorize the City Clerk of'this -City to request the 24 County Assessor to furnish a list of names and addresses of all persons 25 owning -property described in this resolution. 26 6. That said City.shall reimburse said°County for the actual cost 27 of furnishing such list and the cost shall be part of the costs of abatement, 28 7. That the City Clerk at least five days prior to the time of said 29� hearing shall cause to be mailed to the owners of the property on which or 30 in front of.which said nuisance exists, notice of said hearing and the 31 passage of this resolution, said notice to be in accordance with provisions 32 of the Weed Abatement Law, (Chapter 13, Title 4, Division 3, Government -3- __
