<br />SECTION 1 That a special election be held and the same is thereby called
<br />to be held .n said City on November 2, 1916, for the purpose of Submitting to
<br />thequalified voters of said C;ty an Ordinance hereinafter set forth relating 10'
<br />amending the City of Colton's Employees ReTirement Plan.
<br />SECTION 2, The proposed ordinance submitted to the voters shall tie as
<br />follows -
<br />Shall the amity of Colton's Employees " Retirement Plan, origiratly
<br />adopted in 1945, be modified effective Juiy 1, 1977, to provide improved
<br />retirement benefits to Colton Police and F ire Safety EmpiI gees, herein
<br />referred to as Local Safety Members, on the basis of discretionary
<br />retirement at age 50, with the: local safety member receivir+g; a"
<br />ret,rement of Two Percent (2 percent) at their final cornpensat"eort for
<br />each year of service (not to exceed Seventy five Percent (7 percent) of,,
<br />final compensation) with compulsoryretirement at age 60 (see
<br />California Government Code Section 21252:01); and the levyof only such
<br />property taxes as will be necessary to pay the City's stiare of said
<br />benefits, be adopted?
<br />SECTION 3 That.the polis for saidelection shall beopened atseven o'clock
<br />A, M. of the day of said election and shall remain open continuously frorn said
<br />time until eight o'clock P. M of the same'day, when said polls shall oe closse€t,
<br />except as provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code of the State of
<br />California.
<br />SECTION 4. That on the ballots to be used at said special etiettion, in ad

<br />SECTION 7. That notice of the time and place of holding saic election is,;

<br />to give such further or additional notice of said election in time, form and
<br />manner as required by law.
<br />SECTION H That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoptivntif
<br />this Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of
<br />said City; and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof n the
<br />records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes Of
<br />the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
<br />SECTION 9. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
<br />SECTION 10., That Resolution No. 3635 and Resolution No. 3627 are hereby
<br />PASSED. APPROVED and ADOPTED this9thday otAugust,lo6_
