That Rule XI, Section 2(a) be amended to read as follows: <br />Every eligible employee, except fire personnel working on a <br />shift basis, shall earn the following number of working days <br />of vacation in accordance with the record of his continuous <br />years in service <br />SECTION 2. That Rule XI, Section 2(b) be ,amended to read as follows: <br />Every eligible fire department employee working on a shift' <br />basis shall earn the following number of working hours <br />vacation in accordance with the record of his continuous <br />years of service: <br />SECTION 3. That Rule XI, Section 10, be amended to read as follows: <br />City Holidays: Municipal Offices shall be closed on the <br />following legal `holidays: Saturdays; Sundays; New Year's <br />Day; Lincol-n's Birthday; Washington's Birthday; Memorial <br />Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Columbus Day; Veteran's <br />Day; the day after Thanksgiving; Christmas; every day <br />on which an election is held throughout the State; every <br />day appointed by the President or Governor fora public <br />fast,, Thanksgiving or holiday. When a holiday falls on <br />Saturday, the preceeding Friday shall be ,observed. When <br />a holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be <br />observed.:k Only regular full-time and provisional full- <br />time employees shall be eligible for holiday pay. Fire <br />personnel on a 24- hour shift schedule shall not accrue or <br />be credited with holiday pay or credits. <br />SECTION 4.
