=CONTRACT 8MM THE <br />BOARD CF ADMINISTRATION <br />PUBLIC EMPLO ' _TMTI tWT SYSTEM <br />ANei THE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement System, hereinafter <br />referred to as Board and the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF COLTON, hereinafter re- <br />ferred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contract under date of May 28, <br />19459 effective July 1, 1945, as amended effective February 1, 1948, July 1, 1954 <br />January 1, 1960, September 1, 1962, and February 2, 1973, which protides for <br />participation of Public Agency in said Systems, Board and.Public Agency hereby <br />agree as follows: <br />A. Paragraphs 1 through 8 are hereby stricken from said contract as executed <br />effective February 2, 1973, and are hereby replaced by the following para- <br />graphs numbered 1 through 8 inclusive: <br />1. All _words and terms used herein which are defined in the Public <br />Employees' Retirement Lave shall have the meaning as defined therein <br />unless otherwise specifically provided. '"Normal retirement age" <br />shall mean age 60 for miscellaneous Members and age 50 for local. <br />safety members. <br />2. Public Agency shall participate in. the Public Employees' Retirement <br />System from and after July 1, 1945, making its employees as herein- <br />after provided, members of said system subject to all provisions of <br />the Public Employees' Retirement Law except such as apply only on <br />election of a, contracting agency and are not provided for herein and <br />to all amendments to said Law hereafter enacted except such as by <br />express provision therof apply only on the election of contracting <br />agencies. <br />3. Employees of Public Agency in the following classes shall become <br />.members of said retirement System except such in each such class <br />as ars excluded by law or this agreement: <br />a. Local firemen (herein referred to as local safety members) <br />b. Local. policemen (herein referred to as local safety members) <br />c. Employees other than local safety members (herein referred to <br />'as miscellaneous members). <br />In addition to the ,employees excluded from membership by said Re- <br />tirement Law, the following employees shall not become members of <br />the Retirement Systems <br />EtCLUDE MTLOY S COMPENSATED ON AN <br />HOURLY BASIS HIRED SEPTEMBER 1, 1952 <br />OR AFTER. <br />Ret.
