1 RESOLUTION NO. 3692 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />2 CITY OF COLTON DESIGNATING THE COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br />3 SERVICES AS THE SOLID WASTE ENFORCE - <br />4 MENT AGENCY. <br />5 WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino and its incorporated cities <br />6 <br />are required by Section 66796 of the Government Code to designate an enforce - <br />7 <br />meet agency to carry out the provisions of the Z'Berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste <br />8 Control Act of 1976; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the County Department of Environmental Health Services <br />10 possesses the required capabilities in environmental health and solid waste <br />11 management to implement the Z`Berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act of 1976 <br />12 and the regulations and ordinances that have been and will be adopted pursuant <br />l3 thereto: <br />1 3 ( WHEREAS, it has been indicated that the Department of Environ- <br />i mental Health Services will be given sufficient <br />l 5 personnel and an adequate <br />16 budget to carry out the enforcement program specified by law, <br />17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that it <br />18 hereby approves the designation of the Department of Environmental Health <br />19 Services by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors as enforcement <br />24 agency for the county and all cities contained within the county, pursuant to <br />21 subsection (a) (1) of Section 66796 of the Government Code. <br />22 PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 24th day of May, 1977. <br />23 <br />24 �. <br />ABE E.
