1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8' <br />9� <br />10 <br />11I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3770 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON REQUESTING RENEGOTIATION <br />Of FINES AND FORFEITURES TRANSFERRED TO <br />THE GENERAL FUND OF THE COUNTY OF SAN <br />BERNARDINO. <br />WHEREAS, Section 1463 of the California Penal Code provides for <br />transfer to the General Fund of the County of San Bernardino a percentage of <br />fines and forfeitures upon conviction, or upon forfeiture of bail following <br />;arrests made by officers or other persons employed by each City in the County, <br />d j <br />anthat the remaining percentage be transferred to the General Fund of the City <br />,!Of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, said Section 1463 provides the existing percentages to <br />32 11 be transferred as follows: <br />13 i Barstow <br />23/ <br />14 1 Chino 14% <br />Colton 21% <br />15 Fontana 15% <br />Needles 33% <br />f Ontario 20% <br />1 6 Redlands 28% <br />17 Rialto 15% <br />San Bernardino 20% <br />Upland <br />1g � 14% <br />19 WHEREAS, the.City of Colton believes that the allocation .as pro - <br />20 lvideci aforesaid is inadequate and inequitable to the inhabitants of the City of <br />21 !Colton; <br />22 provide THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County enter into negotia- <br />2 tions with the City of Colton to readjust the percentage allocations to <br />246!that the percentage to be transferred to the County General Fund from the City <br />i <br />25 hof Colton shall be Ten Percent (10%). <br />26� PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTEDthr" 7th <br />day of February, 1978. <br />27 <br />28i ATTEST: BE E.B <br />EL N, Mayor <br />(HELEN A.
