RESOLUTION NO. 3788, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 2 COLTON, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF 3 COLTON ON THE'7TH DAY OF MARCH, 1978, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE 4 PROVIDED BY LAW. 5 WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election.was hold and con - 6 ducted in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, on 7 Tuesday, the 7th day of March, 1978, as required by law; and 8 WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in 9 time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting precincts were properly 10 established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects said 11 election was, held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and can 12 vassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required 13 by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State.of California for the 14 holding of elections in cities; and 15 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3778 adopted the 21st day of 16 February, 1978, the City Clerk of the City of Colton canvassed the returns of 17 said election and has certified the results.to this City Council, said results 18 are received, attached and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A." 19 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA 20 DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 21 SECTION 1. That there were 11 voting precincts established for 22 the purpose of holding said election consisting of consolidations of the regular 23 election precincts in the City of Colton as established for the holding of state 24 �and county elections. 25 26 27 28 SECTION 2. That said regular general municipal election was held for the purpose of electing the following officers of said City as required by the laws relating to cities in the State of California, to wit: A Mayor of said City for the full term of two years.
