.2 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />l8 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 3801 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF <br />THE HOLDING OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE <br />HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, THE 7TH DAY OF <br />NOVEMBER, 1978, FOR THE -ELECTION OF A MEMBER OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE <br />PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RELATING TO GENERAL 'LAW CITIES AND CONSOLIDATING <br />SAID ELECTION WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL ELECTION <br />TO BE HELD ON SAID DATE. <br />WHEREAS, a vacancy in the office of member of the City Council <br />was created by the election of Councilman, Frank A. Gonzales to the Office of <br />Mayor on March 14, 1978, and <br />WHEREAS, the term of office in which the vacancy was created by <br />said election of Frank A. Gonzales as Mayor, ends March, 1980.. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNII <br />IDOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the <br />State of California relating to General Law Cities within said State, there shall <br />be, and there is hereby called and ordered, held in the City of Colton, County <br />of San Bernardino, State of California, on Tuesday, the 7th day of November, <br />1978, a special municipal election of the qualified electors of said city for <br />the purpose of the election of a member of the City Council of said city for the <br />term of office in which the vacancy was created by the election of Frank A. <br />(Gonzales as Mayor which ends March, 1980. <br />SECTION 2. That the special election hereby called for the <br />date hereinbefore specified shall be and is hereby ordered consolidated with <br />the statewide general election to be held on said date, and within said City <br />the precincts, polling places and officers of election for the special municipal <br />election hereby called shall be the same.as those provided for said statewide <br />general election. The'Board -of Supervisors of San Bernardino County is hereby <br />requested to order the consolidation of the special municipal election hereby <br />
