2 <br />12 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3817 <br />1 <br />3 !that within the City of Colton the precincts, polling places and election offi- <br />cers of the two elections be the same, and that the Board of Supervisors of the <br />14 <br />!County of San Bernardino canvass the returns of the special municipal election <br />15 1 <br />16 and that said statewide general election and special municipal election be held <br />3.7 in all respects I as if there were only one election. <br />18 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />3.9 IDOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />20 SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of Section 23302 of <br />21 Ithe Elections Code, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino be <br />i <br />22 Viand it hereby is requested to consent and agree to the consolidation of a special <br />23 ;municipal election with the statewide general election on Tuesday, the 7th day <br />4'of November, 1978, for the purpose of the election of a member of the City <br />2 <br />25;jCouncil for the term of office in which a vacancy was created and which ends <br />1, <br />!�March, 19801. <br />26 <br />27 <br />SECTION 2.
