PAYMENT OF ONE-HALF P.E.R.S. RETIREMENT <br />The City of Colton does hereby agree to pay one-half of the employee's <br />portion of PERS retirement for the general employees of the City of Colton <br />The City shall make a timely application to PERS and said benefit shall <br />begin upon approval by PERS. <br />3_411 2 . <br />A perquisite equal to one-half of the above employees portion of PERS <br />retirementshallbe paid to such employees retroactively from July 1, 1978 <br />until commencement of the above retirement payment. <br />SINGLE HIGHEST YEAR COMPENSATION UPON RETIREMENT <br />3.5 Z The City of Colton does hereby agree to amend the present PERS contract <br />1 <br />to allow the general employees of the City of Colton to receive single <br />highest year compensation upon retirement <br />f <br />18 13. ACTING PAY <br />i <br />19 Any employee assigned to work in a higher classification for a period <br />20 of 30 days or more shall receive compensation from the first day. <br />21 14. HOLIDAYS <br />22 i The City of Colton does hereby agree to remove one holiday now known as <br />23 Election Day and replace same with one floating holiday annually. Said <br />j <br />24 holiday must be taken during the calendar year with prior approval of the <br />25 department head. <br />265. If this agreement is acceptable to the City Council then the City Council <br />I <br />27 shall adopt the agreement by appropriate action at the first regularly <br />28. scheduled meeting following the signing of this agreement. <br />f <br />
