R RESOLUTION NO. 3865 i WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the; City of Colton did con (sider an Amendment to the adopted General Plan of the City of Colton, said Amend -I jment consisting of the Land Use Element, Index.No. A-12-78; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the proposed Amendment by ,the Planning Commission on September 27, 1978; and WHEREAS, it satisfactorily appears to the City Council that the 1public interest, necessity, convenience and general welfare will be best served 10 1by the amendment to the General Plan; and 111! WHEREAS, said Amendment is referred to in Planning Commission 12 !Resolution No. 894; 6� i NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the amendment to the General 1 Plan consisting of the Land Use Element, Index No. A-12-78, which involves the .� proposed land use redesignation of five areas of the City (Exhibit 1), Area One :L6 Iconsists of approximately 11.4 acres and is located south from the San Bernardino 1-7'1 Flood Control Channel to 60 feet south of Laurel Street, between Mt. Vernon Avenu 1 land La Cadena Drive; Area Two consists of approximately 168 acres and is located 1:9 least of Interstate 15-E, south of Reche Canyon Flood Control Channel, west of © Cooley Drive and north of Barton Road and the Gage Canal; Area Three encompasses 21 16 acres and is southofBarton Road, north of Cahuilla and west from the Reche 22 Canyon Flood Control Channel to approximately 400 feet west of Mohave Street; 23 Area Four consists of approximately 92 acres and is south of "K" Street between 24 iRancho Avenue and Slover Mountain, south of "0" Street between the Santa Fe Rail 25 road and Slover Mountain and north of Agua Mansa Road; Area Five encompasses 780 26 lacres and is north.of Valley Boulevard, west of Southern Pacific Railroad, south 27 and east of the City Limits, is hereby approved. 28 i
