3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />5 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11i <br />12 <br />131 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3887 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />GRANT FUNDS .UNDER THE STATE LITTER CONTROL; <br />RECYCLING AND RESOURCE RECOVERY FUND. <br />�j WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has enacted <br />lithe State Litter Control, Recycling and Resource Recovery Act which provides <br />funds to certain entities for litter cleanup, litter law enforcement litter. <br />education, and purchase of litter receptacles; and <br />WHEREAS the State <br />Solid Waste Management Board has been dele- <br />gated the responsibility for the administration of the program setting up neces <br />Isary procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and <br />t <br />? WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Solid Waste <br />Management Board require the applicant to certify the approval of applications <br />14 -zto submission of sail applications to the state; <br />15 � <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />36 i of Colton - <br />1. Approves the filing of an application <br />i7:� g pp n for funding under .the <br />1 Litter Control;- Recycling and Resource Recovery Fund and <br />2. Certifies that said agency understands theeneral <br />19- <br />of the grant agreement; and g provisions <br />3. Authorizes the City Manager as agent of the City of Colton to <br />20' conduct all -negotiations, execute and submit all documents <br />j <br />21 including but not limited to applications, grant agreements, <br />amendments and payment requests, which may be necessary for <br />22j the completion of the aforementionedprogram. <br />23 "j PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of December, 1978. <br />24 <br />FRANK A.
