V-8-82, AN AP- <br />PLICATION FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT A SIGN. <br />WHEREAS, Colton Piano Playhouse filed an application requesting <br />a Variance to construct a sign at 1405 West Valley Boulevard, being File Index <br />No. V-8-82, and <br />WHEREAS,.the Planning Commission, after a public hearing, denied <br />the application, and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant filed.an Appeal on that decision, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a noticed public hearing <br />thereon; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0-F COLTON determines <br />the Appeal, File Index No. V-8-.82, as follows: <br />ATTEST: <br />The application for Variance and the Appeal are granted. <br />The City Council finds that the special circumstances set <br />forth in Colton Municipal Code Section 18.32.020 B. exist <br />as to the property. <br />The City Council further finds that due to the location of <br />the property with regard to the adjacent freeway, the strict <br />application of the sign limits of the ordinance to the <br />property is not appropriate. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 1983. <br />28 /%Q - <br />HELEN A.
