Elliott, the City <br />Manager, is the Director of Emergency Services and is desig- <br />nated as the authorized representative of the City of Colton <br />for the proposed receipt, processing and coordination of all <br />inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain available State <br />assistance and as the official authorized to promulgate orders <br />and regulations necessary to provide for protection of life and <br />property as provided in Government Code Section 863+. <br />IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that during the <br />existence of said local emergency the powers, functions, and <br />duties of the Director of Emergency Services and the emergency <br />organization of this City shall be those prescribed by state law, <br />by resolutions of this City approved by the City Council and City <br />ordinances, including Ordinance No. 1384, adopted March 16, 1971. <br />IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that said local <br />emergency shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termina- <br />tion is proclaimed by the City Council of the City of Colton. <br />IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that a copy of this <br />resolution be forwarded to the State Director of the Office of <br />Emergency Services with a request that he find it acceptable in <br />accordance with provisions of the Natural Disaster Assistance <br />Act . <br />
