1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4308 <br />WEED ABATEMENT, FINDING, DETERMINING AND <br />DECLARING INSUFFICIENT OBJECTIONS OR PRO- <br />TESTS TO THE REMOVAL OF PUBLIC NUISANCE. <br />WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the City Council of the <br />City of Colton, California on the 1st day of March, 1983, declaring weeds <br />growing upon streets or sidewalks or upon private property and rubbish, refuse <br />or dirt upon parkways, sidewalks or private property within the City of Colton <br />to be a Public Nuisance and providing for the abatement therefore; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk was directed to cause to be mailed to <br />the owners of the property on which or in front of which such nuisance exists <br />in accordance with the Weed Abatement Law (Chapter 13, Title 4, Division 3, <br />Government Code and amendments thereto) of the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, said notices have been mailed in accordance with said <br />act as set forth in the affidavit of the City Clerk on file in her office; and <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution and notices fixed, determined and de- <br />clared that a hearing would be held on the 5th day of April, 1983, in the <br />Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Colton, California at the hour of <br />7:30 p. m. of <br />said day, <br />at which time any <br />person having <br />any objections or pro- <br />tests to make <br />concerning <br />the removal and <br />destruction of <br />said weeds, rubbish, <br />refuse or dirt may appear and be heard; and <br />WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in such notice a hearing was <br />duly held by this City Council and all persons desiring to be heard thereon <br />were heard and the City Council gave all persons present an opportunity to be <br />24 heard. <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />1of Colton as follows: <br />The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that <br />notices for the destruction of said weeds and the removal of rubbish, refuse <br />or dirt have been mailed in the form and manner prescribed by the aforesaid <br />act and that said notices were in the form and substance required by said act <br />
