The City Council of the City of Colton having' <br />elected to proceed under the provisions of Section 8300 et seq. of <br />the Streets & Highways Code of the State of California, and having <br />held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all <br />the evidences submitted that the portion of Citrus Street, Lot 8, <br />Colton Land & Water Company Subdivision as Recorded in Map Book 1, <br />Page 40, Records of San Bernardino County, State of California, <br />described as follows: <br />Commencing at the intersection of 8th Street and <br />Citrus Street the centerline of said Citrus Street <br />being the south line of Lot 8 of the Colton Land <br />& Water Company Subdivision as recorded in Map Book <br />1, Page 40 of said County; thence easterly along <br />the centerline of Citrus Street, 40 feet to the <br />intersection with the prolongation of the east <br />right-of-way line of 8th Street, said point being <br />the point of beginning; thence northerly along said <br />east right-of-way line of 8th Street, a distance of <br />33 feet to the north right-of-way line of Citrus <br />Street; thence easterly along said northerly right- <br />of-way line of Citrus Street, 78.5 feet more or less <br />to the westerly right-of-way line of the Atchison, <br />Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad; thence southerly along <br />said westerly right-of-way line to its intersection <br />with the south right -of -Way line of Citrus Street; <br />thence westerly along said south right-of-way line <br />of Citrus Street to its intersection with the east <br />right-of-way line of 8th Street; thence northerly <br />along the prolongation of the east right-of-way line <br />of 8th Street, 33 feet to the point of beginning. <br />is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes <br />and the public interest and convenience requires the closing of <br />said street. <br />
