111 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1081 <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton did consider a <br />General Plan Amendment, File Index No. G-2-83, requested by Desi Ybarra, to <br />amend the General Plan from Low -Density Residential to General Commercial, <br />on property located on the northwest corner of Rancho and Citrus Avenues and <br />staff initiated an amendment for the northeast and southwest corners of Rancho <br />and Citrus Avenues (see attached Exhibit A); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did give notice of the Public Hearing, <br />as required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hold said Public Hearing and con- <br />sidered General Plan Amendment on June 14, 1983; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that the General Plan <br />and the neighborhood would be -better served by the inclusion of this additional <br />area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that a designation of <br />Neighborhood Commercial would be more appropriate than a designation of Genera <br />Commercial; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, having studied and researched such <br />application, makes the following findings: <br />1. The proposal, as amended, is consistent with the base zoning. <br />2. The existing zoning of the property will be consistent with the <br />proposed change, if amended. <br />3. The General Plan, adopted in December, 1981, was incorrect in <br />assigning a Residential designation to the property in question. <br />4. The proposed project, as.amended, is consistent with the surround- <br />ing uses. <br />5. The proposal will eliminate the blighting influence of nonconforming <br />uses. <br />6. The proposal will not have a significant effect upon the environ- <br />ment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby <br />
