EXHIBIT "B" <br />1 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />2 PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 3500 ET SEQ., REPRESENTA- <br />TIVES OF THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE COLTON POLICE _ASSOCIATION <br />3 REPRESENTING POLICE EMPLOYEES, THE RANK OF LIEUTENANT AND CAPTAIN, <br />HAVE MET AND HAVE REACHED AN UNDERSTANDING TO RECOMMEND THAT THE <br />4 CITY COUNCIL ADOPT THE FOLLOWING: <br />5 1• SALARY INCREASE <br />6 Effective January 1, 1984, provision to each represented <br />7 employee of a three percent (30) base salary increase. Such <br />8 increases will apply to each step within a pay range. <br />9 2. HEALTH INSURANCE <br />10 Effective January 1, 1984, through December 31, 1984, the <br />11 City shall continue to provide to each represented employee, <br />12 health insurance coverage in accordance with 1983 M.O.U. <br />13 Section 2, including any premium increases through. the life <br />14 of this agreement. <br />15 3. Effective January 1, 1984, the Management Certificate <br />16 provision (1983 M.O.U., Section 5, line 22) shall be amended <br />17 and the words Supervisory Certificate substituted for the <br />18 word, Advanced Certificate. <br />19 4. Effective January 1, 1984, the uniform maintenance allowance <br />20 will be increased by $25.00 per month for each represented. <br />21 employee. <br />22 15. Effective January 1, 1984, each represented employee will be <br />23 compensated $150.00 per month as compensation for scheduled <br />24 stand. -by and call -out time. <br />25 6. Effective January 1, 1984, each represented employee and <br />26 eligible dependents will be provided an Optical p program which <br />27 includes the following. <br />28 //// <br />
