1 <br />2 RESOLUTION NO. 4499 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON FINDING THAT <br />OVER FIFTY PERCENT OF THE VOTERS <br />PROTESTED AND TERMINATING ANNEXA- <br />5 TION WEST 34 (LAFC N0: 2262) AND <br />6 THE PREZONING INCIDENTAL THERETO. <br />i WHEREAS, heretofore an application was filed to annex to <br />the City of Colton the territory de-scribed in Exhibit A attached <br />8 <br />9 hereto ("the territory"), and pursuant thereto proceedings known <br />10 <br />as Annexation West 34 and LAFC No. 2262 ("the annexation") com- <br />menced; and v <br />11 <br />12 WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of San <br />13 <br />Bernardino County acted upon the annexation, and the Planning Com- <br />19 <br />mission of the City of Colton acted upon the prezoning of the ter- <br />ritory; and <br />15 <br />16 <br />WHEREAS, thereafter the annexation and prezoning regular- <br />13 ly came before the City Council of the City of Colton ("the <br />18 Council"), for public hearings on July 17, 1984, pursuant to notic <br />as required by law; and <br />19 <br />24 WHEREAS, the Council, on July 17, 1984, did conduct the <br />21 public hearing on the proposed annexation ("the hearing"), and did <br />22 <br />hear and receive any oral or written protests, objections, or evi- <br />dence made, presented, or filed. <br />23 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council herewith <br />24 <br />makes the following findings: <br />25 <br />Written protests were filed, and not withdrawn, as of <br />26 the conclusion of the hearing by thirty-five (35) <br />27 registered voters in the affected territory. <br />The total number of registered. voters in the affected <br />28 territory is sixty-six (66). <br />
