1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />?�R <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4532 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON SUPPORTING SAN BERNARDINO <br />COUNTY REGIONAL PARKS DEPARTMENT'S APPLI- <br />CATION FOR REGIONAL COMPETITIVE STATE GRANT <br />FUNDS FOR PRADO TIRO, THE PRADO REGIONAL <br />PARK INTERNATIONAL SHOOTING FACILITY. <br />WHEREAS, the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee has <br />donated the Olympic Shooting Site constructed for the 1954 Olympic <br />!Games to the people of the County of San Bernardino; and <br />WHEREAS, continued operation of this shooting range (known <br />las Prado Tiro) will greatly enhance recreation opportunities for the <br />people of Southern California and the entire United States; and <br />WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted <br />a Bond Act Program, which provides funds to the State of California <br />and its political subdivisions for developing facilities for public <br />recreation purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Regional Parks Depart- <br />ment has submitted an application for Regional Competitive State <br />Grant Assistance to supplement conversion of Prado Tiro to a perma- <br />vent public facility; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of th.el <br />City of Colton, California, wholely supports San Bernardino County <br />in its application for Regional Competitive Bond Act Funds, and <br />strongly, urges the California Department of Parks & Recreation give <br />a high priority rating to this project that will provide a shooting <br />facility of national and international caliber to the people of the <br />State of California and the entire United States. <br />1984. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of December, <br />
