'R-7-86 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON DENYING APPEAL <br />FILED BY A & K DEVELOPMENT, ET A <br />ON INDEX NOS. A-2-84 AND G-2-84 <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of t e City of Colton <br />did by and through its Resolution Nos. 2052 nd 2053 recommend <br />denial of the Zone Change application and eneral Plan Amendment <br />requested by A & K Development, et al; a d <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said application <br />and the Resolutions of the Pla 'ng Commission relating thereto <br />in full and is familiar with the c -eats thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City rou <br />on Appeal filed by A & K vel <br />and <br />1 ave notice of public hearing <br />ent, et al as required by law; <br />WHEREAS, the Cit Cou cil did hold said Public Hearing <br />on January 21, %,,986 'to consider Appeal. <br />SNOWy fi, THER RE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />does herebnd, tlre lve, determine and order as follows: <br />1. <br />1) <br />That a Zone Change application, A-2-84, and the <br />eneral an Amendment, G-2-84, requested by 'A & K <br />ve. ent, et al, are hereby denied. <br />That lanning Commission Resolution Nos. 2052 and <br />2053 are hereby approved. <br />The applicant was aware when he purchased the prop- <br />erty of the existing density, and it is unreasonable <br />to increase the density in this semi -rural area. <br />The City has land appropriately zoned for apart- <br />ments already as per the General Plan and a reduc- <br />tion of the single-family available vacant land is <br />not desirable. <br />
