R--08-92 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON REDESIGNATING THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AS THE LOCAL <br />ENFORCEMENT AGENCY <br />WI REAS, each jurisdiction must desi�late a <br />Local enforce�ent agency for the enforcement of minimum <br />standards for solid waste handling, dispoal,and permitting <br />r remand that responsibility to the California Integrated <br />9 <br />aste Management Board; and <br />10 4 <br />WHEREAS, the, County Depailtmint of Environmental <br />11 <br />ealth Services possesses the required capabilities in <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />nvironmental health and solid waste management to imple�ent <br />B939 (Public Resources Code' 40000 et. seq.) and the <br />rdinances ` <br />i r egulatfions and standards that have been and <br />mill' e -adopted pursuant' thereto; <br />WH AS, the, Department of Environmental Health <br />3ervice� has sufficient,personnel and an adequate budget to <br />parry ou the enforrfi�ent program specified by law; and <br />tWHEREA�Sj letters or affirmation from a majority <br />1 <br />)f the incorporated Cities within the County with a majority <br />)f the poplation'and from t6 -:County of San Bernardino Board <br />>f Supervisors ;is required by Title 14, of the California <br />'ode of Regul'ations (14 CCR 18051f -to redesignate an <br />tnforcemenl� agency to implement the California Integrated <br />Faste Management Act of 1989 (AB939); and <br />; <br />
