R-43 -96 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF COLTON SUPPORTING THE <br />CREATION OF A SPORTS ACTIVITW# <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE IN THE CITY OF <br />COLTON <br />WHEREAS, certain members of the public <br />for a Sports Activities Advisory Committee to be fo. <br />organized sports activities within the City of Co n; <br />that a need exists <br />the City in coordinating all <br />WHEREAS, volunteers fro vari orts activit' s within the city have indicated their <br />willingness to participate on a Sports ivities viso y Committee; and <br />WHEREAS, if formed,, the Sports vities`*-UWory Committee would be a volunteer <br />committee comprised entirel)(of private citizens; <br />WHEREAS, if for ed, the Sports Activities Advisory Committee would consider and <br />evaluate the needs of vari s activity groups for services and facilities within the city; and <br />WHEREAS, if formed, the Spo tivities Advisory Committee would act as a liaison <br />to the CV Council to QOWNWnicate the concerns and needs expressed by various sports activity <br />groups; an <br />WHEREAS, rmWe Sports Activities Advisory Committee would recommend <br />policies dures to the ity Council regarding the coordination and maintenance of public <br />facilities to a equitable use of such facilities by all community sports activity groups. <br />NOW, THE ORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON HEREBY <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />The City Council of the City of Colton endorses and supports the formation of a Sports <br />Activities Advisory Committee within the City of Colton to be comprised of private individuals <br />
