R-30-04 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ACCEPTING AN <br />ADDITIONAL $4,153.21 IN "FAMILIES FOR LITERACY" FUNDS AND AMENDING THE <br />ADOPTED BUDGET FOR A TOTAL FY 2003/2004 APPROPRIATION OF $17,696 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to building a more literate <br />community; and <br />WHEREAS, the California State Library approved an additional $4,153.21 in "Families for <br />Literacy" funds; and <br />WHEREAS, a continuing need exists to augment the current literacy program, which <br />involves tutors and adult learners in activities that promote parents and their children reading <br />together. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Colton accept an additional <br />$4,143.21 in "Families for Literacy" funds amending the adopted budget for a total FY <br />2003/2004 appropriation of $17,696 AS FOLLOWS: <br />Library Grant Revenue — "Families for Literacy": 211-5738 $4,153.21 <br />Library Grant Expenditure Account — "Families for Literacy" : <br />211-7100-7101-2350 Professional Services $4,153.21 <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of April, 2004. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
