R-42-04 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING <br />CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS <br />FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO DEPARTMENT <br />OF AGING AND ADULT SERVICES FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />PROVIDING SUPPORT SERVICES TO SENIOR CLIENTS IN THE EAST <br />VALLEY SERVICE AREA BY THE CITY OF COLTON <br />WHEREAS, the Older Americans Act of 1965 makes possible the delivery of <br />comprehensive and coordinated service systems to persons age 60 or older in order to enable <br />them to maintain maximum personal dignity and independence within the community; and, <br />WHEREAS, the San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services <br />solicits proposals for the grant year from qualified public or private agencies to operate support <br />services and services to the frail for persons 60 years of age and older; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Colton hereby: <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for funding under the Older American <br />Act; and <br />2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute said application and subsequent <br />agreements with the San Bernardino Department of Aging and Adult Servi <br />for the 2004-05 grant cycle. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 4T" day of May, 2004. <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />CAROLINA P.
