1 RESOLUTION NO. R-62-04 <br />2 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION R-57-04 TO RECLASSIFY CERTAIN <br />4 POSITIONS AND TO INCREASE SALARY RANGES TO <br />ACCOMMODATE A RE -ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE WITHIN THE <br />5 ELECTRIC UTILITY, COMMUNITY SERVICES AND PUBIC <br />SERVICES DEPARTMENTS. <br />6 <br />7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, desires to eliminate the positions <br />s of Assistant Utility Director and Transmission and Distribution Superintendent. reclassifying <br />9 <br />the positions to General Manager and Assistant General Manager for the Electric Utility <br />10 <br />Department respectively; and <br />11 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, desires to add the General <br />12 <br />13 Manager and the Assistant General Manager to the Executive Unit; and <br />14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, desires to decrease the salary of <br />15 the Community Services Director due to fiscal savings; and <br />16 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, desires to increase the salary of <br />17 the Information Services Manager due to responsibility increases; and <br />18 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, desires to increase the salary of <br />19 the City Engineer due to responsibility increases. <br />20 <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton, California to reclassify <br />21 <br />positions and to make some adjustments to the salary schedules and bargaining unit of <br />22 <br />some of the classifications to accommodate a City-wide reorganization as recommended <br />23 <br />24 by the Assistant City Manager. <br />25 SECTION 1: Resolution No. R-57-04, establishing a full-time Pay and Classification Plan <br />26 for the City of Colton, is hereby amended as follows: <br />27 SALARY MONTHLY RATE <br />CLASSIFICATION RANGE A B C D E <br />2s <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Reso Reorg 061504 <br />
