1 paid by the City of Colton in lieu of contributions by the employees who are <br />2 members of the Public Employees' Retirement System. <br />3 III. That employees shall not have the option of choosing to receive the contributed <br />4 amounts directly instead of having them paid by the City of Colton to the Public <br />5 <br />Employees' Retirement System. <br />6 <br />IV. That the City of Colton shall pay to the Public Employees' Retirement System the <br />7 <br />contributions designated as employee contributions from the same source of <br />8 <br />funds as used in paying salary. <br />9 <br />10 V. That the amount of the contributions designated as employee contributions and <br />11 paid by the City of Colton to the Public Employees' Retirement System on behalf <br />12 of an employee shall be the entire contribution required of the employee by the <br />13 Public Employees' Retirement Law (California Government Code sections 20000. <br />14 et seg.). <br />15 VI. That the contributions designated as employee contributions made by the City of <br />16 Colton to the Public Employees' Retirement System shall be treated for all <br />17 purposes, other than taxation, in the same way that member contributions are <br />18 <br />treated by the Public Employees' Retirement System. <br />19 <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 2004. <br />20 <br />21 ' <br />22 DEIRDRE H.
