The City Council does fully support the use of Public Benefits Funds to <br />provide once a year credit for a months electric charges for low-income customers. Low <br />income qualification levels will be adjusted annually to match that of the State of California <br />requirements for the California Alternative Rate for Energy (CARE) program. <br />Section 2. The City Council does fully support the amendment of resolution R-07-98 <br />Public Benefits Charge Credit to the policy, so that the Colton Electric Utility's Customer <br />Service Policy provides customer low income customer benefits as allowed in sections 385- <br />386 of the California Public Utilities Code. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this,�52d day ofAf 2004. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
