R-131-05 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO <br />ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $173,366.32 FROM THE <br />OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS) AND AMEND THE 2005/2006 <br />FISCAL YEAR BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, <br />2005 and ending June 30, 2006 was approved and adopted June 21, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 29, 2005, the California State Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) <br />awarded a grant in the amount of $173,366.32 to the City of Colton Police Department for the <br />Traffic Safety Project as detailed in the OTS Grant Application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. It is necessary to approve and accept this STATE OTS TRAFFIC SAFETY <br />GRANT in the amount of $173,366.32 to the Revenue Account 225-5880-000. <br />SECTION 2. It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2005/2006 Fiscal Year <br />Budget, appropriating funds to account number 225-6070-6087 for $173,366.32. <br />SECTION 3.
