R-23-05 TO CHANGE THE DATES FOR CLOSURE OF HUNTS LANE FOR REPAIR OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD TRACK WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. R-23-05 on March 15, 2005 authorizing the closure of the west side of Hunts Lane, between Commercial Road to Club Center Drive, on April 3, 2005 through April 7, 2005 for the purpose of repairing the Union Pacific Railroad track ;and WHEREAS, circumstances occurred which prevented the Union Pacific Railroad from performing the repair work on the requested dates; and WHEREAS, the City has received a request from Union Pacific Railroad through its traffic control specialist, Advance Warning of Reno, Nevada, to change the dates of the temporary closure of the west side of Hunts Lane, between Commercial Road to Club Center Drive, to April 20, 2005 through April 24, 2005 and May 1, 2005 through May 4, 2005; and WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges that the temporary closure of the west side ofl Hunts Lane, between Commercial Road to Club Center Drive, is necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare during the railroad repair project; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton agrees to the following: 1. Resolution No. R-23-05 is hereby amended to change the dates of temporary closure of the west side of Hunts Lane, between Commercial Road to Club Center Drive, to April 20, 2005 through April 24, 2005 and May 1, 2005 through May 4, 2005. 2. Signs identifying the dates of the temporary closure and indicating the detour route to be used shall be posed to inform the public. -1-
