RESOLUTION NO. R-69-05 <br />1 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR <br />3 CHILDCARE SERVICES IN THE CHILDCARE DIVISION <br />OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, Government Code Section 66016 provides that a City may <br />6 establish or increase fees for certain public services by resolution; and <br />7 <br />WHEREAS, the Childcare Division of the Community Services Department <br />8 <br />charges fees for childcare services, and such fees have not been amended since <br />9 <br />July, 1999; and <br />10 <br />11 WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Education requires <br />12 childcare facilities that receive State funding to charge current market rates for full - <br />13 pay childcare customers; and <br />14 WHEREAS, staff's finding is that the current childcare fee schedule reflects <br />15 rates that are below current market rates; and <br />16 WHEREAS, the City has made data available to the public for a 10 -day period <br />17 prior to acting upon this Resolution, indicating the need to increase and consolidate <br />18 <br />fees for City childcare services; and <br />19 <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Government Code 66016 <br />20 <br />and 66018, a public meeting and a public hearing have been properly noticed and <br />21 <br />held at which oral and written presentations were made to and heard by the City <br />22 <br />23 Council. <br />24 NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />25 <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton hereby approves <br />26 <br />the following amended fee schedule for childcare services in the Childcare Division of <br />27 <br />28 <br />1 <br />
