1 2 3 4 5 6 7 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 19 nil 21 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, subsequent to the Planning Commission's denial of the appeal of the Application, the Applicant timely appealed the determination to the Colton City Council ("City Council") WHEREAS, on January 17, 2006 the City Council considered the appeal of the Application ; and WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby denies the appeal of the Application and upholds the decisions of the Design Review Committee and Planning Commission denying the continued placement of a chain link fence on that portion of Assessor Parcel Number 161-061-36 located on Pennsylvania Avenue between Acacia and Laurel Street for the reasons set forth in the record of the proceedings, including the following: (i) allowing the continued placement of a chain link fence on that portion of Assessor Parcel Number 161-061-36 located on Pennsylvania Avenue between Acacia and Laurel Street does not maintain and improve the aesthetics and appearance of the neighborhood; (ii) allowing the continued placement of a chain link fence on that portion of Assessor Parcel Number 161-061-36 located on Pennsylvania Avenue between Acacia and Laurel Street is inconsistent with the Colton General Plan Industrial Principal C-3 policy.
