R-11-06 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br />ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000 FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT <br />ELIZABETH DAVIS PARK, AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO SIGN CONTRACTURAL <br />GRANT AGREEMENT AND SUBSEQUENT DOCUMENTATION, AND APPROVING AN <br />INCREASE TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />2005-2006 IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000 AND AMENDING THE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM TO INCLUDE IMPROVEMENTS TO ELIZABETH DAVIS <br />PARK. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a municipal corporation duly organized and <br />existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"); <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to improving the <br />City's parks and recreational areas and quality of life; and <br />WHEREAS, the Funding has been identified for the allocation of this project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DO HEREBY <br />RESOLVE that: <br />1. Colton City Council authorizes acceptance of a grant awarded to the City of Colton <br />by the County of San Bernardino in the amount of $500,000 for the purpose of <br />implementing improvements to Elizabeth Davis Park in the City of Colton <br />2. Authorize City Manager Daryl Parrish to sign grant contract for said project and <br />any subsequent grant documentation thereof. <br />3. Amend the Capital Improvement Projects budget to include Elizabeth Davis Park <br />Project and be budgeted for the amount of $500,000 as follows: <br />a. Increase account number 450-8101-225 in the amount of $500,000 <br />b. Increase account number 225-xxxx in the amount of $500,000 <br />c. Increase 225-8102-450 in the amount of $500,000 <br />d. Increase account number 450-0617-xxxx-3890 in the amount of $500,000. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 17" DAY OF JANUARY 2006. <br />EIRDRE H.
