R-127-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THAT THE LOCAL <br />AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION ("LAFCO") INITIATE <br />PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT TO A RESOLUTION OF <br />APPLICATION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE <br />UNINCORPORATED "ISLAND" AREAS (VARIOU PARCELS <br />THROUGHOUT THE CITY'S UNINCORPORAT15VSPHERE OF <br />INFLUENCE) TO THE CITY OF COLTON Cl IrMITS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City" ires to initiate proceedings pursuant <br />Pip <br />to the Cortese -Knox -Hertzberg Local Govern Reorganization Act of 2000, Division 3, <br />commencing with Section 56000 of the Cal* is vernment Code, for the annexation of <br />a' <br />unincorporated islands of territory that resently in the City's sphere of influence; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the territory pos d annexed includes residential and <br />commercial uses, light, mediu nd h ustrial uses, and vacant parcels within the <br />annexation areas; a descri ' o bou aries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" <br />(Island Annexation Are mb 1 7) attached hereto and by this reference <br />incorporated herein, <br />WHER <br />City; and <br />WHE <br />noticed p <br />AS s pkosal is consistent with the Sphere of Influence of the affected <br />0 1k% to Government Code section 56755, the City held a duly <br />hea hich the City Council received all oral and written protests, <br />object'en <br />and evidence which were made, presented or filed, and all persons present <br />wer an opportunity to hear and be heard with respect to the proposed annexation of <br />U orporated island areas; and <br />WHEREAS, it is desired to provide that the proposed annexation be subject to the <br />K <br />ollowing terms and conditions, as more particularly described in the Plan for Services set <br />forth in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein <br />The following services and improvements will be financed by general tax <br />1 <br />
