I RESOLUTION NO. R-132-06 <br />2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />3 COLTON REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. R-59-06 ADOPTED ON <br />JUNE 12, 2006 REGARDING A REQUEST TO THE LOCAL <br />4 AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO INITIATE <br />PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF UNINCORPORATED <br />5 "ISLAND" AREAS <br />6 WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Resolution R-59-06 on June 12, <br />7 2006, requesting that the Local Agency Formation Commission ("LAFCO") for San Bernardino <br />8 County initiate proceedings for the annexation of the unincorporated "island" areas (various parcels <br />9 throughout the City's unincorporated sphere of influence) to the City of Colton city limits; and <br />10 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council would like to repeal its adoption of Resolution R-59-06. <br />11 <br />12 BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />13 SECTION 1. The City Council hereby rescinds its previous action to request that <br />LAFCO initiate the annexation proceedings described above and repeals Resolution No. R-59-06. <br />14 <br />SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. <br />15 <br />SECTION 3.
