1 <br />21 <br />3'. <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />171 <br />11 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the plans for the proposed intersection <br />and has determined that the proposed stop signs are the best way, given the City's <br />resources, to provide protection for motorists and pedestrians who use this intersection. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts the recitals <br />contained in this resolution as findings in support of the placement of stop signs at the <br />intersection of La Cadena Drive and "E" Street. <br />SECTION 2: Section 21.366 is hereby added to Resolution No. 2119 to add stop <br />signs at La Cadena Drive approaching "E" Street from the north and south. <br />SECTION 3: This Resolution shall supercede and repeal any other resolution or <br />portion of a resolution, to the extent such resolution may be inconsistent with this Resolution. <br />SECTION 4: If any provision or clause of this Resolution or any application of it to <br />any person, firm, organization, partnership or corporation is held invalid, such invalidity shall <br />not affect other provisions of this Resolution which can be given effect without the invalid <br />provision or application. To this end, the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be <br />severable. <br />SECTION 5: The City Council hereby finds and determines that it can be seen with <br />certainty that there is no possibility that this Resolution may have a significant adverse effect <br />on the environment. Thus, the adoption of this Resolution is exempt from the requirements <br />of the California Environmental Quality Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000 et sec.) <br />("CEQA") pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines. Staff is directed to file a <br />Notice of Exemption with the San Bernardino County Clerk's Office within five (5) working <br />days of the adoption of this Resolution. <br />SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA BARRERA, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />
