R-142-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE AMENDED ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS <br />LIMIT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2004-05 <br />WHEREAS, the voters of California, on November 6, 1979, added <br />Article XIII -13 to the State Constitution placing various limitations on the appropriations <br />of the state and local governments; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII -B provides that the appropriations limit for <br />the fiscal year 2004-05 is calculated by adjusting the base year appropriations of fiscal <br />year 1978-79 for changes in the cost of living and population; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has complied with all the provisions of <br />Article XIII -13 in determining the appropriations limit for fiscal year 2004-05 utilizing the <br />County population index; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Colton must make the necessary determinations <br />regarding the use of a cost -of -living index change and the population index change <br />beginning in 2004-05 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the appropriations <br />limit for fiscal year 2004-05 as previously adopted by Resolution R-58-04 shall be <br />amended to $43,807,228 for the City of Colton. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 7 1 DAY OF NOVEMBER 7, 2006. <br />DEIRDRE H.
